Making its world debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the 2014 Chevrolet Impala is being aimed at competitors such as the Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon, all the while shaking off the shadow of being a rental car of last resort.

From the mind of Henrik Fisker & Co. comes the Fisker Atlantic, an extended range EV sedan using a BMW-sourced four-pot to send power to the rear wheels. Not much else is known yet regarding the Atlantic, but any car with a mustache -- ironic or genuine -- is definitely worth a few looks.

Shelby American Inc, the ones responsible for turning many a Mustang into something special over the past few decades, introduced the world to the Shelby 1000 at the New York Auto Show 5 April 2012. The highly modified Mustang pulls in 950 horsepower on the street, with the track-only edition belting out 1100 horses.

The monster has returned. At this year's New York Auto Show, the SRT division of the FIAT/Chrysler partnership dropped the hammer on the attendees with the 2013 SRT Viper. The supercar may have a few government-mandated bits of tech on-board, but that won't stop the Viper from killing again, either on the track or on the street.

Princess Luna, the young sister of Princess Celestia, is one of my favourite characters from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." Thus, I've decided to interpret her style into something that could be worn outside of any 'con, doubling the fun in the process.

One of the biggest unveilings during the North American International Auto Show, the 2013 Ford Fusion brings three types of motivation to the table, including the Energi plug-in which will see up 100 MPGe.
 
This set, featuring the Energi and the Titanium Edition, focuses on the colour pallet between the two cars and the sedate class one would expect from the Aston-Martin-inspired car. The Fusion made its world debut at the NAIAS in Detroit, Michigan 9 January 2012.

Much like Acura with their NSX Concept, Lexus brought out their Hail Mary pass known as the LF-LC Concept, a harbinger of the future look of Lexus in the future. The car also possesses a hybrid drivetrain, electronics galore and a full glass roof.

Chevrolet's vision of the future of motoring is appealing to Millennials and their needs. Through focus groups wanting confident, sporty exotics that are affordable to Gen Y come the Code 130R (red concept) and the Tru 140S (white concept). The former is a rear-drive four-seater resembling the love child of the current Chevrolet Camaro and the current BMW 1M. The latter is a front-drive four-seater picking up where the late Mitsubishi Eclipse left off. Both have features including Wi-Fi, smartphone integration and various forms of hybrid drivetrain technology.

The 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) returned to Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan in January 2012. The sets in this collection are tributes to some of the big debuts and concepts featured at this year's NAIAS.

In approximately three years, a new Acura NSX will roar out of Honda's Marysville Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio. The NSX will feature mid-engined motivation from a hybrid V6 sending power to all fours via Acura's SH-AWD system and a 7-speed transmission.
